How Far Would You Go For Longer Lashes?...

Would you pay $48.00 for eyeliner if it promised to give you lusher lashes?? Pete Roth Thomas Clinical Skin Care has developed just that. Their Lashes To Die For black liquid liner promises to visibly enhance the appearance of natural lash length, thickness, and fullness. According to, this product "dramatically enhances the appearance of lash length and density. A quick dry, stay-put liquid liner, it treats lashes all day long. Formulated with high levels of active SymPeptide (PRT's own special concoction), it dramatically enhances the appearance of natural lash length, thickness, and fullness when used daily. The intensely pigmented formula is longwearing and smudge-proof. Its convenient pen format allows for maximum control during application, ensuring a precise, even line that glides on with just one effortless stroke." PRT's Lashes To Die For liner says you'll see 46% increase in lashes in the first two weeks, and will reach full results in six weeks with a 76% increase. I'm not so sure I would pay $48.00 for eyeliner, even if it did promise to grow my lashes. Would you??

Much like Latisse, Fusion Beauty's StimuLashFusion Intensive Night Conditioning Lash Enhancer promises to grow lashes in six weeks using a serum you apply daily with a brush. Unlike Latisse, you don't need a prescription...just $89.00 and access to The advanced formula also delivers a protective dose of vitamin E and nourishing infusions of peptides and amino acids. This product is also opthamologist-tested, and can be used on lashes or eyebrows. I read a ton of reviews on this product, and the majority of people (90%) raved about it. This might be worth trying. The almost $90 price tag seems a bit steep, but Latisse runs about $120 and you will have to see a doctor to be able to purchase it.

Something that will give you gorgeous lashes that you won't have to wait six weeks for is eyelash extensions. They are bonded to your actual, individual eyelashes, much like hair extensions. It takes a few hours to do, and the average cost is around $75.00. As you can see from the picture above, they look amazing. A little birdie told me Trump's on Main Street, here in down, is going to start doing them. I really hope this is true. I really want some!! I wear alot of fake lashes, and they tend to fall off or need reapplied after you wear them for awhile. I've already asked Jeremiah for these for Christmas/

Did You Know Ancient Egyptians Were Trendy??...

A team of researchers from the University of Manchester recently conducted a study on 18 mummies from the Pharaonic period and found that ancient Egyptians used pomade, curlers, and even extensions to create styles very similar to modern beauties. "There was a variety of hairstyles and cuts — some of the mummies had really beautiful curled hair," says study lead researcher Dr. Natalie McCreesh. "One of the mummies had quite short hair and we joked she looked like Marilyn Monroe. Some others had longer, curly hair, a little bit like Rihanna."

No one could blame a mummy for wanting to look like either Rihanna or Marilyn, but the materials and techniques the Egyptians used were basically the same as those you'll find at your salon. Some of the mummies had hair extensions that were braided in using much the same technique stylists do today, and many had their hair styled with "gel" made from a fatty substance.

Clearly, carefully styled hair has been considered attractive for as long as modern human culture has been around, but this study brings up another excellent point. We tend to think about ancient people as if they were somehow different or alien, probably because time and cultural loss have skewed our view so much. In reality, though, some of them curled their hair much like us (using tongs) and likely had many of the same styling concerns.

What Will They Think of Next?...

Have trouble getting your eyeliner to look the same on both eyes? No worries. Dior has you covered. For their fall line, they have taken the hard work out of eyeliner...with stickers. The stickers were designed by Dior makeup artist and are available in three versions: Effect Velours: play a full and expressive line or slightly curved. Brilliant Effect: an eyeliner with miro-Swarovski crystals blacks that decorate the line. Effect Haute Couture: Swarovski crystals with three located on the corner of each eye. Parks Velvet Eyes will be sold in kits of 4 pairs of patches eyeliner These velvet eyeliner stickers will be made available on September 8th, exclusively in Milan. The suggested retail price is € 68.12. Which means you will be spending over 100 American dollars on stickers because you're too lazy to take the time to be creative. These annoy me. What happens if you don't get the stickers even? Kind of defeats the purpose, huh? I'm all about lip tattoos and crazy hair, but eyeliner stickers are a bit out of hand. Thanks for the giggle, Dior!!

My New Blush is a STUNNER...

MAC's new "MAC Me Over" collection debuted this week. It's a collection full of neutrals and warm tones, released just in time for Fall. After careful review of the entire collection, I chose only one item to purchase (my makeup case if FULL of neutrals, I didn't think I needed anymore brown eyeshadows & nude-ish I settled on a powder blush in Stunner.

Stunner is described by MAC as a "light coral-pink" with a satin finish. It's definitely more pink than coral. It goes on so smooth, and is buildable. Unlike some light colored blushes, Stunner is not chalky. It's one of those colors that will flatter most skin tones. It's a bit pricey at $19.50, but the color pay off is gorgeous & it has serious staying power.

The MAC Me Over collection is available at But, you'll have to shop around if Stunner is on your shopping list. It has already sold out on MAC's website. However, MAC products are also sold online at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Macy's, so be sure to check out their sites, too.

The Most Beautiful Eyelashes I Have Ever Seen...

Known for their unconventional use of paper, London-based design firm Paperself has taken faux lashes to a whole new level. Inspired by the art of Chinese paper-cutting, these first-ever paper eyelashes are each intricately designed, blending an element of traditional culture with contemporary design.  Available exclusively at & Sephora ($17.00), this collection pushes the envelope with its eye-opening and artistic eye jewelry. Unique and expressive, these eyelashes come in two sizes: accentuate the corners of your eyes with the smaller lashes for a subtle daytime look, or make a statement with the full lashes for a special occasion.

Each set of lovely lashes has it's own special meaning:

Horses: symbolic of success
Peony: for happiness and good fortune
Peach blossom: a symbol of love and romance
Peacock: auspicious and lucky days
Butterfly: free, beautiful and sensitive
Clown: bring the whole happiness
Deer & Butterfly: a symbol for freedom

My Crazy Day...

Weirdest. Day. Ever. Seriously. It all started when I had to stop at St. Joe's to pick up a copy of my CT scan from the end of July. While waiting patiently, the electricity went out. So, I left, without a copy of my scan. Next, I went to McDonald's. Nothing really weird about that, I just hadn't had junk for So, I arrive at UHC for my x-ray. The technician talked to me about my shoes, my nails, and my Pirates t-shirt (gotta love free t-shirts). Next, I went searching for the physicians office. After wandering around the hospital for 20 mins, I was finally heading the right direction. Then, I saw a sign for a the middle of the hospital. Wish I would've went there, but I fought the urge and trekked on to the dr's office. I walked into a waiting room full of 65 year old men...gotta love urologists' offices. I took a seat underneath the flat screen on the wall. Bad choice. It almost fell on my head during the EARTHQUAKE!! Madness. I called hubs and my mom. Neither of them felt it, so I felt a little nuts. The nurse called me back, she thought I lied about my weight on the form. She said I looked much smaller (yay!!). Then she asked me if I was Italian. I said yes. She said, "I could tell by your nose" (boo).

Finally, I get back to see the doctor, and I get the new that my kidney stone grew (so glad I gave up Diet Coke for nothing). They did blood work. So, I go back Monday to be shot full of dye & scanned again. Then back for a follow up on Wednesday. Yay. After my appointment, I went to the mall. I wanted to go to Victoria's Secret, but ended up buying a book at the bookstore instead (that NEVER happens). There was a carnival in the mall parking lot. So, I got back to Buckhannon, and decided that since my day was so bad, I was to eat mozzarella sticks. Bad choice. Kidney stone pain struck, and I lost my tasty cheese sticks.

So, that horribly written, hectic story was my day. I'm glad it's coming to an end. On a positive note, I did decide to take some online classes. I'm going to be a college girl!! Woo hoo!! I'm going to major in journalism, and try to turn this beauty blog into something big.

What Makes Someone "BEAUTIFUL"?...

As part of my weekday routine, I sat down to watch Kathy Lee & Hoda this morning. Today's episode was a re-run from May. My favorite morning talk show hosts spent entire hour without wearing makeup. None. I found it quite awesome. I figured they would at least wear a little concealer to help with major problem ares, but they didn't. You could see every flaw on both of their faces. Most celebrities wouldn't dream of doing this. Women in the spotlight want you to believe they are flawless. That's not really fair. As "normal" women, we look in the mirror and start picking ourselves apart. The tiniest flaw gets magnified and all of the sudden we don't want to leave the house.
Today on Facebook, I asked my friends to define beauty. All of the comments and messages were basically the same.  In today's superficial society, if you aren't  "gorgeous" (by Hollywood standards) on the outside, you are automatically looked down upon. We get all wrapped up in our outward appearance. It's great to take care of yourself, but the inside should match the outside. You can be drop dead gorgeous on the outside, and because you don't have inner beauty, you'll come off as ugly. All of the makeup in the world won't hide inner ugliness.
So what is classified as inner beauty? I believe inner beauty consists of selflessness (giving to others- not just money, but giving your time for whatever reason), humbleness, being able to laugh at yourself, being able to love others, treating others how you want to be treated, and confidence. Confidence is key. You can be walking through the mall, and spot an average looking person who is getting a ton of attention. There's only one answer for why: confidence. When you are sure of yourself, others will look at you differently.
Here are a few ways to help boost your confidence...
This doesn't mean to look like a beauty queen 24/7, but keep yourself clean & groomed.

Walking 25% faster will make you look & feel more important...according to statistics.

Stand up straight, keep your head up, and make eye contact. You'll make a positive impression, and you'll feel more empowered.

Write a motivational speech for yourself, and say it in the mirror whenever you need a boost.

When you focus too much on what you want, the mind creates reasons why you can't have it. This leads you to dwell on weakness. Set aside time each day to do a mental list of things you have to be grateful for...past successes, unique skills, loving relationships, and positive momentum.

When we think negatively about ourselves, we tend to project that feeling onto others in forms of insults or gossip. Break the cycle.

Most people tend to gravitate toward the back of classrooms and office situations, because they are afraid of being noticed. By deciding to sit in the front, you can get over this irrational fear.

By making an effort to speak up at least once in every group discussion, you'll become a better public speaker, more confident in your own thoughts, and recognized as a leader among your peers.

Physical fitness has a huge effect on self-confidence. By working out, you'll improve your physical appearance, energize yourself, and accomplish something positive. Having the discipline to work out not only makes you feel better, it creates positive momentum that you can build on the rest of the day.

Too often we get caught up in our own desires. We focus too much on ourselves, and not enough on other people. Making someone else feel better will in turn make you feel better.

The 10 Commandments of Anti-Aging...

When (or if) I make it to my 60's, I hope I'm still hot. It can happen. Look at Helen Mirren. That woman looks amazing!! She's 66 years young. Wow. I've realized if I want to look good then, I have to take care of myself now. Here are a tips to help keep your youth at a stand-still...

Rain or shine, "liberally applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen that contains both UVA and UVB protection every day is the single most important thing you can do to prevent sun damage and skin cancer," says New York City dermatologist Doris Day.

In addition to causing cancer and bad breath, smoking cigarettes "destroys collagen and elastin and decreases levels of estrogen, which is necessary to keep skin firm," says New York City dermatologist Fredric Brandt.

It's the best way to slow down the clock with a cream. "Retinoids minimize the appearance of existing age spots and fine lines and prevent new ones from forming," says New York City dermatologist Heidi Waldorf.

No, Diet Coke doesn't count. "The more hydrated your skin, the better your wrinkles will look," says Montclair, New Jersey, dermatologist Jeanine Downie. "Drink lots of water, cut back on coffee and soda, and moisturize regularly."

The expression "beauty rest" actually has some science behind it. "Not only does your skin require downtime to repair itself, but sagging skin and puffiness around the eyes make wrinkles look much worse," says Great Neck, New York, dermatologist Jeanette Graf.

Not surprisingly, yo-yo dieting isn't great for your skin. "Skin loses elasticity over time," Waldorf says. "The more your weight fluctuates, the harder it is to snap back into shape."

"Your skin receives nutrients not only from creams and treatments, but also from the food you eat," Waldorf says. "The more balanced your diet, the younger you'll look. And if you're not taking a multivitamin, start now." To keep skin happy, eat more fatty fish (such as salmon), dark green vegetables (like broccoli and spinach), almonds, and walnuts. Drink lots of antioxidant green tea. And lay off the refined sugar and booze—both cause aging inflammatory reactions in the skin.
"Exercise increases blood flow to the skin and promotes a glowing, healthy-looking complexion," Downie says. "Working out for just 30 minutes four or five days a week can make a huge difference."
The mind-body connection is a powerful one. "Do whatever you need to do to decompress," Waldorf says. "Stress causes cells to age faster, which absolutely shows on the skin."
You got the same advice when you were a teenager. "Sun damage causes dark spots as you age, but so does picking at your blemishes," Waldorf says. "And since the skin takes a lot longer to repair itself as you age, the spots won't disappear right away."

How Did I Not Know About This Place??!!...

It's no secret that I spend alot of time on line researching beauty products, stores, launches, brands, etc. While watching a video on YouTube I discovered the best kept secret...a legit place to buy high end makeup at a discounted price. It's called The Cosmetics Company Store (or CCO- Cosmetics Company Outlet- to those fancy people online). They're find out outlet malls, like Tanger in Washington, PA. Who would've thought an outlet mall would sell MAC?? Since Jeremiah had a day off, and he wanted to go to the outlets, I made sure to make CCO my first stop. Since I had never been there, I play 20 questions with the sales lady. She explained that when companies, like MAC, stop selling seasonal items & limited edition items to make room for upcoming collections, they send the leftovers to CCO. They had a ton of perfumes, some skincare, and high-end cosmetics...MAC, Bobbie Brown, Estee Lauder, etc. I was super excited to be able to purchase a couple products I thought I had missed out on...

MAC Pink Friday Lipstick (satin)
Original Price- $15.00
CCO Price- $10.00
This was a limited edition lipstick. It was designed by rapper Nicki Minaj, and sold online only for a very short time. I really wanted it, and was so sad to find out I missed it. I checked on sites, like eBay & Amazon. The cheapest I found it being sold was $40.00, some people were even asking $80.00. I was SUPER pumped when I found it for much cheaper.

MAC Hello Kitty Pretty Baby Beauty Powder
Original Price- $25.00
CCO Price- $15.00
I love Hello Kitty, always have. Although the product is pretty, I actually wanted it for the sparkly Hello Kitty compact. HK's face is actually stamped into the cute. I wanted to buy it in-store, but missed out. Now I'm kinda glad I missed out, I saved $10.00!! :)

My Real Obsession...

Everyone comments on my makeup collection. People think I keep in a suitcase or it has it's own room. I LOVE makeup, don't get me wrong. It's my PASSION, it's not my OBSESSION. I'm good at doing makeup. Some people are meant to doctors or lawyers or carpenters or teachers...God's plan for me is to be a makeup artist. Who am I to fight a higher power?

Now, I'm not trying to be a Sour Sally. I'm just tired of hearing, "You spend too much money on makeup". So, as embarrassing as it is, I'm going to reveal my real obsession. That way, everyone can lay off the whole makeup thing. Here we go...**DEEP BREATH**...

I'm obsessed with bras from Victoria's Secret. There. I said it. They make me feel pretty, & girly. Everytime VS comes out with a new one, I HAVE TO HAVE IT. Sadly, the picture above does not contain all of my bras. There were 3 or 4 in the washer at the time of the photo. I have around 25 of ones, blue ones, green ones, yellow ones, purple ones, pink ones, nude colored ones, leopard print ones, flower ones, lace ones, strapless ones, halter ones, multi-way ones, push-up ones, sports ones...the list goes on & on. Does one person need that many? Probably not. Victoria's Secret makes it hard not to love them. They have flashy commercials & fancy coupons that come in the mail every month. It's their fault, not ;). So there, the cat is officially out of the bag. Now, those how feel the need to talk about my spending habits, can focus on my bras instead of my lipsticks.

Welcome Back, Jamie Lynn...

It's funny how you can feel like mud for so long, then one day you wake up & suddenly you feel like yourself again. I don't want to go into any hairy details, but life was really hard for awhile. I learned that if you want help, you have to ask for it, most of the time. Sometimes, people in your life just know what you need to hear. It's a nice mixture in my life. I realized, everything I don't like about myself can be fixed. I don't like the way my body looks, so I go to the gym. I don't like having kidney stones, so I gave up diet coke (the hardest thing I've ever done). I didn't like my hair, so I dyed it & gave myself bangs. Pale skin looks gross, so I got a tan. I stopped laying around belly aching & started taking care of myself. Crazy how if you stop whining & do something about your problems, they get better. I don't expect life to be easy, I wouldn't want it to be. I like a challenge. I'm happy to report, I overcame the biggest challenge of I'm back & better than ever. I feel better than I have in years. It's amazing.

The World's Best Concealer...

I've tried a billion different concealers. I've been to Wal-Mart, Sephora, and various other makeup counters. I couldn't find anything to cover the haggard blemishes & dark circles that tend to show up on my face. While on a Girl's Day Out in Pittsburgh, I decided to stop at my favorite MAC counter & ask for some help. The MA was very patient with me. She showed me all over their concealers, and went into great detail about each one. I told her exactly what I wanted, and she matched me with the most amazing product.

This is MAC's Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer. According to, it's "A lightweight, creamy, discreetly opaque concealer. Provides a smooth, long-wearing invisible coverage for all skin blemishes. Water-resistant, fragrance-free and non-acnegenic. This emollient-based, lightweight concealer is so concentrated that a tiny amount can provide opaque coverage of the skin's imperfections and discolourations. It effectively covers dark circles, blemishes, moles, tattoos and birthmarks. Enriched with antioxidants (derivatives of Vitamin A and Vitamin E), it also contains Silica to help adsorb the skin's oils. Concealer has an SPF of 35 and is available in a wide range of colours. It can be applied with a medium to firm fiber brush (try the 242 Brush), a latex sponge, or the fingertips."

The coverage is unbelievable. It hides everything. We had been shopping for 8 hours when I stopped by the MAC counter. I slept 3 hours the night before. This stuff made me look completely refreshed. I've been using it everyday for 2 weeks, I love it more & more everyday. It's definitely worth every penny of it's $17.00 price tag. I will not buy another concealer. This has become my go-to. I'm in love.

Fashion Friday: 8/12/11...

I don't know about you, but once the weather dips below 80 degrees, I break out a hoodie. I've worn one for the past two days. This makes me ready for Fall. Two Fall things specifically...cute boots & NCAA football. Since I talked about leggings yesterday, I thought I'd show you a pair of boots that would look great with them.

I found these on They're made by Colin Stuart, and they are affordable. They'll only set you back $98.00. You can get them in black, burgundy, and butterscotch (light brown). I love the black ones!! These short biker boots have a 1 inch heel, so they wouldn't be hard to walk in. Talking about Fall makes me anxious!! I can't wait!! My Fall clothes are so much cuter than my summer

What I Want For Fall...

I love being comfortable. Jeans don't always do it for me. Yoga pants are kinda old. Gimme some leggings!!
I love leggings!! If have never worn them, I suggest you get off the computer & get your butt to the mall. They are amazing. It's like wearing sweatpants, but they look nicer. My favorite outfit is leggings, a v-neck tee, a long sweater, and ballerina cute, so comfy. I'm dying for gold ones, not that I'd ever really wear them. I'd probably get funny looks when I got to Wal-Mart. I might get brave, or I might just wear them around the The full length leggings are the best. You can pull them up to look like cropped ones if you'd like. The pair above are available at American Apparel ( for $46.00. They seriously have leggings in EVERY color & a ton of different fabrics.
Go check them out!!

Where Did All The Manly Men Go??...

I don't know about you, but I am tired of leaving my house and seeing all these "guys" walking around looking like girls.

This is not manly. There is nothing even remotely sexy about this picture.
No guy should wear makeup or own a flat iron. Eyeliner is eyeliner, calling it "guy liner" does not make it cool. Growing your hair out, dying it black, and getting side-swept bangs makes you look like Kim Kardashian, not a rockstar. And, don't even get me started on skinny jeans. Most women shouldn't wear skinny jeans, it should be illegal for the entire male population.

Men should look more like this...

Maybe it's just me, but I appreciate a strong, scruffy, sweaty, hard working, testosterone filled MAN.

Victoria's Secret Inspired Eye Makeup...

I've always loved this look. After many failed attempts, I think I finally got it down. It's so simple to do. It's sexy without being to harsh. Here's what I did...
**Keep in mind: these are the products I used. You do  not have to use these exact colors. Check Wal-Mart for similar colors & a smaller price tag.**

Start with an eye primer. This will help your shadow stay on all day.

Next, I put the right side of Too Faced's George & Weezey all over my lid, from lash line to brow bone. I also put it underneath my eye.

I used Urban Decay's Halfbaked from my lashes to my crease, and lightly under my eye.

Next, I used UD's Virgin (from the Naked palette) on the brow bone.

Then, I put UD's Darkhorse (also from the Naked palette) on the outer 'V' of my eye, and halfway underneath my eye.

Next, I used the silver side of TF's Ooh & Aah on the inner corner.

**Take a fluffy eye brush & BLEND!!**

Line the top lashes with a liquid liner, winging it slightly.

Add a white eyeliner to the bottom water line to make your eyes look bigger.

Do 2 coats of mascara on the top & bottom lashes.

Finish with falsies.

Ta-da!! Supermodel sexiness made easy!! :)

New Tat...

I've wanted a wrist tattoo for such a long time now. A girls day out seemed like the perfect time to make it happen. Sometimes, it's fun to be spontaneous. Being a wife & a mother, I don't get to do things like this very often. I've been asked about it a few times & I just want to let everyone know about it...

  • What does it say?- It says "for always" in Italian.
  • Why did you get it?- I got it for my husband. So much cuter than getting his name or a heart.
  • Did it hurt?- After the pain of a kidney stone, my definition of 'hurt' has changed. Of all my tattoos (ankle, foot, and back of my neck), this one was the most uncomfortable. It stung, I wouldn't say it hurt.
  • I thought you were getting something else on your wrist...?- At first, I was going to get O's birthday in Roman numerals there. I wanted to get this down the side of my ring finger, but the tattoo artist said it wouldn't last. So, I made a split second decision & got this one. I'll find a new & exciting spot to immortalize my son in ink.

My Newest Color Obsession...

I've always been a fan of hot pink. It's been my favorite color for as long as I can remember. I've worn it on my nails, cheeks, and lips, but ever since Urban Decay came out with the shade called Woodstock, I've wanted to get really brave and try hot pink on my eyes. My biggest fear is that I'll look like Jem. Yes, the 80's cartoon. Don't know who she is? Shame on you. Head to Google right away. Anywho...He's what they color looks like. Should I try it??

UD's Eyeshadow in Woodstock ($17.00)

UD's 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($18.00)

Get An Ego Boost...

Bed Head Ego Boost

I found a bottle of this stuff in my sister's bathroom. Since, I bleached my hair, it's been so dry & gross looking, so I decided to try it. I was instantly hooked. states that it will mend and protect dry, damaged hair from environmental elements, chemical treatments and styling. I'm not sure if it really does all that, but it does help my hair. Since I've been using it, my hair no longer looks like straw...WIN!! It also smells so good. I dry and style my hair, then add a pump of this to the ends of my hair. Most leave-ins make my hair look greasy or flat, but this doesn't. It just smooths the ends. So simple. You can find it at Wal-Mart for $16.00. It's a tad pricey, but definitely worth it!!

Splurge or Save?...

When it comes to cosmetics, it's hard to know where to throw your money. Pricey makeup seems like a nice investment, but is it ALWAYS necessary to spend big bucks? No. A lot of drugstore/lower end products work just as well as (if not better than) the luxury/high end brands. Here's my guide to makeup shopping...

Eyeliner: SAVE
Most eye pencils are made from wax, which is not worth $20.00. You can get a great lower end eyeliner for $3.00 that will work just as well.

Mascara: SAVE
This is one of those products that can be produced for pretty cheap, without sacrificing quality.

Eyeshadow: SPLURGE
A great eyeshadow will last all day. Cheap $4 shadows will fade by lunch. Still don't want to pay big bucks for shadow? Invest in a good eyeshadow primer (my favorite is Too Faced Shadow Insurance...$18.00 at Sephora). This will help extend the life of your shadows.

Foundation: SPLURGE
It's so hard to find the right shade standing in the makeup isle at Wal-Mart. Besides, even with a primer, drugstore brands tend to melt off quickly. Get your cute little butt to a department store and get matched by someone who knows what they are doing. Higher end foundations may cost you a little more, but they will last all day, and you usually have to use less product.

Face Primer: SAVE
I've tried every primer out there. No joke. My $6.00 Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer works just as good as (and feels lighter than) my $36.00 Smashbox Photo Finish.

Concealer: SPLURGE
For the same reasons as foundation...better quality, coverage, and color matching :)

Lipstick: SAVE
Although you can't beat the formula/color range of MAC, you can find great, long wearing lipstick at your local Wal-Mart.

Blush, Bronzers, and Powders: SPLURGE
Luxury powders have been pulverized to such a degree that you can layer and layer without ever looking like a clown. We like that.

Hope this helps those of you looking to expand your makeup collection!! Have a great day, ladies!! :)

I Watched This Video & Got Inspired...

I was watching YouTube this morning, waiting for Odin to wake up. I ran across the video above, and I knew I had to try it. I've been wanting to cut my bangs for days. I'm growing my hair out, so I didn't want to go to a salon. This was super easy to do & I love the results. Thanks, JlovesMAC1!! :)
