Makeup Trends for Spring 2011...

Need a new, fresh look for Spring? Here's a few of the top trends for you to try.

Bright lips will be all the rage this Spring. It's a bold statement. Remember if you try this trend, go easy on the eye makeup. Too much can make you look like a clown...or a drag queen. For this look try Make Up For Ever's Glossy Full Couler lip gloss in Vibrant Red (left), Vibrant Orange (middle), or Fuchsia Pink (right). You can find these at makeupforever.com for $19 a piece.

Bright lips a bit too wild for you? Try a pretty, pastel shadow on you eyes. Romantic shades are really in right now. This trend will look gorgeous with a sundress & wavy hair (I'm excited to try that!!) To get this look try Too Faced's Romantic Eye Collection. This palette comes with 9 shades & 3 how to cards (Too Faced is amazing, most of their palettes come with cards that tell you where to put the different colors to get different looks. You can find this palette for $35 at toofaced.com.

When it comes to a golden glow this spring, the trend is a matte finish, not a high shimmer disco-ball face. The trick to making bronzer look natural? Aside from just dusting it across your nose, cheekbones and chin, also blend a little bit of color into your hairline. Using a big fluffy brush will help prevent streaks and ensure your gilding doesn't go overboard. I've blogged about my love for Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder, but another great option is Benefit's Hoola Boxed Powder. It's a bit lighter than the chocolate one. I've been using Hoola on a daily basis. I love it!! You can pick up Hoola at benefitcosmetics.com for $28.

**All of the products listed can also be found at Sephora & Ulta...I'm just trying to give you ladies some options :)**

  1. The Romantic Eye collection is out of stock at Sephora and Ulta, so Too Faced is about the only place to get it right now. I've been coveting it for a while, I just haven't made the leap yet....
